Oman
Oman's mountainous northern exclave on the Strait of Hormuz, an Arabian fjordland offering wall, drift and wreck diving.
The Musandam Peninsula forms Oman's northernmost governorate, separated from the rest of the country by the UAE, facing the Strait of Hormuz. Diving here, based mainly out of Khasab, spans roughly two dozen sites with walls and sloping reefs between about 3 m and 35 m depth, plus wrecks. The area is a known hotspot for whale sharks in late spring through early autumn, alongside manta and eagle rays, turtles and moray eels.
