For divers and dive centres
You keep your dive log here, digitally - every dive with its dive site, depth and buddies. You also see which divers dive near you and which dive centres are around, and the dive sites and dive regions come from divers who add what they know.
Depth, time, gas, conditions, the dive site and who you dived with. Photos belong to a dive, and you decide which one is the favourite.
Find the buddies from your past dives again, and new ones for the water near you or for a trip you are planning. Profiles show certification, experience and what someone likes to dive, so you find divers who really fit.
Near home for diving and further training, while planning a holiday, or on the spot when you feel like getting in the water today. Every dive centre has its own page with contact details, location and what it offers.
Points you earn for your own activity also count towards the dive centres you are a fan of. Being a fan costs nothing and says something.
An e-mail address is enough. The public part of the site works without an account – the logbook does not.
Pick the dive site, enter depth and time, add photos. Dive site missing? Add it - from then on it exists for everyone.

For dive centres
Your entry usually exists already – dive centres worldwide are collected here. What is missing is everything only you know: courses, languages, opening hours, boats, the house reef. A page with those details gets found; a page with a name and an address does not.
Logged dives, dive sites you add, photos you contribute - each of them earns points. They are not a currency and you cannot buy anything with them; they show how much of this site comes from you.
Say which dive centre you dive with, and part of your points counts towards its score. That is the whole mechanism – no rating, no stars, no reviews.
You can be a fan of several dive centres and change that at any time.

Take a lookNo, and for recreational divers it will stay that way permanently. Your account, your dive log, adding dive sites and being a fan of a dive centre are free.
Your dives and your photos belong to you, and today none of a dive is public. Our goal is that you can release single dives or single photos to the buddies you dived with - you decide what, and for whom. Public already is your diver profile and everything you contribute to dive sites and dive regions.
Through the diver profiles. You can look up the buddies from your past dives, or search for divers near you or in the region you are travelling to. Certification, experience and diving interests are part of the profile, so you find someone who fits - and it always goes through a request that the other diver accepts or declines.
Then take the entry over. Sign in and claim it, and from then on you can update and extend everything yourself. The dive centre section in the footer leads there.
The dive log is the shortest way in: one dive, one dive site, one photo. Everything else - buddies, fan, your own dive sites - builds on that.
