Isla Espiritu Santo and its smaller sister island Isla Partida form an uninhabited volcanic island group in the Gulf of California, about 26 km from La Paz, Baja California Sur.
The two islands sit within the Islas del Golfo de California Flora and Fauna Protection Area and were designated part of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1995, with the surrounding waters declared Archipielago Espiritu Santo National Park in 2007. The area is a well-known diving and snorkeling destination in the Sea of Cortez, noted for sea lion colonies, reef fish, and encounters with rays, sharks, and whales.
