San Rafaelito
San Rafaelito is about 35 minutes by boat from the La Paz docks, which makes it a short trip. Coral heads, small caves and overhangs surround the rock, and rays rest on the sand around it. A group of roughly 40 to 50 California sea lions uses the islet. At night, parrotfish sleep wrapped in their mucus cocoons and octopus are active, which makes it a favourite night dive. The site is also suited to snorkelling.
