Grotta dei Gamberi (Filicudi)
Also known as: Grotta dei Gamberi
The dive starts in a small cove close to the marking on the rocks that shows the start of the protected archaeological area of Capo Graziano. Divers swim seaward over pebbles and Posidonia to a ledge at about 15 m, then follow a vertical wall rich in life, including clavelinas growing on lost fishing lines. Where the wall bends sharply to the right, a cave shaped like an upside-down V opens between about 33 and 39 m. There is no need to go far inside: the twilight zone near the entrance is already packed with Plesionika shrimps, which comber and forkbeard hunt. The way up passes a volcanic gully with large groupers.
