Scoglio Montenassari

Also known as: Montenasseri · Montenassari · I Cunicoli

The rock takes its name from the fish traps (nasse) local fishermen used to lower here. Its main feature is a tunnel that runs right through it, together with smaller passages at its base that the dive centre I Delfini calls I Cunicoli, all with beautiful plays of light. Groupers and wrasses live in the dark recesses near the bottom, and amberjacks and barracuda pass in the blue. Brown meagre were once common in the tunnels but are rarely seen today.
