Scoglio del Quaglietto

Also known as: Scoglio Quaglietto

The rock sits at the end of a beautiful cove between Capo Testa Grossa and the Quaglietto, near natural pools and the boat-accessible Grotta del Cavallo. Divers moor on the south side, cross the channel between a small rock and the Quaglietto and begin the circuit. Soon the mouth of a large cave opens, where a diving club placed a statue of the Madonna on the sand. With a torch, the inner chamber reveals a dense swarm of red shrimps. Outside, a boulder slope shelters groupers, octopus, lobsters and spider crabs, with patches of wall covered in Astroides and pentagon starfish.
