Twanoh State Park
Twanoh State Park lies on the southern arm of Hood Canal, where the water is among the warmest salt water in Washington. There is no notable structure, but the gradual slope, minimal current and easy entry suit divers of all levels. Eelgrass covers the safety stop zone at high tide and gives way to tube-dwelling anemones below about 40 ft, and oyster beds, gobies, sticklebacks, sea pens, moon snails and flatfish are found. The best diving is at the east end of the park, where the slope is steeper. Boat traffic from the launch at the west end needs attention.
