Glen Ayr is a waterfront resort on Hood Canal that many divers use as a base for Sund Rock weekends, and its own beach gives access to a rocky reef. Explore Hood Canal describes deep walls to the north that harbour giant Pacific octopus and a rubble field to the south that suits macro photography. Wolf eels are commonly seen, and sailfin sculpins, plumose anemones, rockfish and decorated warbonnets are also reported. Day users must check in at the office and pay for parking, which is limited in summer.
