Urog El Towail
Also known as: Urog Eltaweel
Urog El Towail lies at the southern reaches of Big Giftun on a rocky bottom, at a depth of about 11 to 15 m. The vehicles of the museum include Soviet T-34-85 tanks and BRDM-2 armoured cars, Egyptian Walid personnel carriers, an American M-60 Patton tank and Spanish BMR-600 vehicles, cleaned of fluids and dirt before sinking. The project aims to relieve Hurghada's natural reefs, some of which receive more than 200,000 dives a year. Visibility is reported to be good, and the vehicles are expected to become overgrown with coral over the coming years. Emperor Divers expects liveaboards to use the shallow sites for check dives and last dives.
