Garden of the Gods

Also known as: Temple of the Gods

Garden of the Gods sits a short distance off the beach at the western end of Pemuteran Bay and was set up by the Reef Seen dive centre as a reef restoration project. Statues of Balinese gods, together with benches and lanterns, form a ring on the sandy bottom between small coral patches. Sponges, soft corals and many small animals have since grown over the structures. Nudibranchs, garden eels, shrimps and blue-spotted stingrays are regular sightings, while octopus, cuttlefish, frogfish and Lembeh sea dragons count as special finds. The water is usually calm, but because the statues stand fairly deep, experienced divers get the most out of it.
