Alamanda

Also known as: Alam Anda

Alamanda lies just beyond the Drop Off on the eastern side of Tulamben Bay and can only be reached by jukung, the local outrigger boat. The dive follows a gentle slope that turns into a mix of bommies, rocks and patches of soft coral. Fusiliers, anthias and snappers are common, while barracuda, trevally and sometimes bumphead parrotfish or Napoleon wrasse pass by. Leaf scorpionfish, pipefish and mantis shrimp hide among the coral heads. Because few divers come here, it is a calm alternative to the busy shore sites.
