Batu Mulapan
Also known as: Batu Ngulapan
Batu Mulapan lies on the less visited east coast of Nusa Penida, just north of Karang Sari. The dive usually begins on a sloping reef that levels out into a plateau covered in dense hard corals such as staghorn and lettuce coral. Currents range from light to strong with the tide, and guides try to keep the group over the reef rather than drifting into the blue. Giant trevally, tuna and, between July and October, Mola Mola are among the larger visitors. Pure Dive Resort counts it among the healthiest and most diverse reefs around the island.
