Batu Kelebit
Also known as: Batu Klebit · Kelebit Rocks
Below the rocks three steep ridges covered in hard and soft corals, sea fans and sponges run into deeper water, with channels of grey and white sand between them. In the channels divers find fire dartfish, jawfish, starry puffers and schools of bigeye trevally. Because the site is steep and bathed in plankton-rich water, the chances for pelagics are better than inside the bay, from barracuda, tuna and manta rays to whitetip reef sharks, turtles and sometimes mola mola. Upwelling often makes the water cooler than in Tulamben Bay, and the current varies from mild to strong with occasional down currents. Dive The World credits it with the best visibility in the area.
