Jemeluk Bay

Also known as: Jemeluk · Jemeluk Wall · Cemeluk

On one side of the bay a coral reef with sponges, soft corals and sea fans hosts anemonefish, blue-spotted rays, moray eels and pygmy seahorses on the gorgonians. On the other side a series of jagged walls drops steeply into deep water, with barrel sponges, black corals and passing bluefin trevally and redtooth triggerfish. The bay also holds an artificial reef of underwater sculptures, among them Hindu water nymphs and a Balinese barong. Turtles and reef sharks are part of the marine life listed for the bay. Many dives end with a safety stop over a sunlit shallow plateau before the jukung picks divers up.
