Pyramids
Also known as: Amed Pyramids
The site takes its name from hollow pyramid-shaped structures about 3 m tall that were placed on the slope for corals to grow on; there are also structures made from old car tyres. Corals and fish now crowd the structures, including snappers, pufferfish, ghost pipefish, stonefish and leaf scorpionfish. Beyond them a natural reef with stingrays, garden eels, ribbon eels and harlequin sweetlips turns into a small wall. Currents are usually manageable, and when they pick up the site is dived as a gentle drift.
