Coral Garden

The reef runs for about 150 m along the beach and dive centres often use it for training. Table corals, anemones with several kinds of anemonefish, sponges and soft corals make up the reef, and one dive centre nicknames it Anemone City. An artificial reef of Balinese statues and other structures attracts plenty of life and makes a popular photo backdrop. Ribbon eels, cuttlefish, octopus, peacock mantis shrimps and frogfish are regular finds, and blacktip reef sharks patrol the shallows. Following the sand slope deeper leads to barrel sponges and cleaning stations, and towards the Drop Off to the sandy River Bed area.
