Secca di Capo Graziano
Also known as: Archeosub di Capo Graziano · Museo Sottomarino di Capo Graziano
The Secca di Capo Graziano rises from the depths and ends in sharp teeth only a few metres below the surface. Over millennia it wrecked many ships, and a guide line now leads divers from the top to about 30 m past amphora shards, stone anchors and other remains. On the sand at the end of the trail lies what is left of the amphora cargo of the wreck known as Roghi A. Finds range from the 5th century BC to the 16th century AD, and many more are shown in the Filicudi branch of the Aeolian archaeological museum. Long-standing bans on fishing and unguided diving have also left a rich habitat with shrimps, groupers, moray eels and octopus.
