Scoglio di Pietra Nave

Also known as: Scoglio la Nave · Petra Nave · Scoglio La Nava

Pietra Nave is a block separated from the volcanic cliffs of Panarea. The dive descends the vertical wall of the stack, lined with sponges, Astroides and algae where parrotfish feed, while octopus and moray eels hide in the cracks. The main goal is an enormous pile of boulders mixed with monolithic spires that rises from about 33 m to 11 m and forms narrow valleys between them. Groupers and white seabream shelter at the base, and barracuda often hang behind the stack.
