Barbados
A sheltered, leeward diving region along Barbados's west coast, combining shallow fringing reefs with several noted shipwrecks, most famously the SS Stavronikita.
The west coast of Barbados spans the parishes of Saint Michael, Saint James and Saint Peter, home to two marine protected areas: Carlisle Bay Marine Park near Bridgetown and the Folkestone Marine Park/Reserve near Holetown. Divers visit fringing reefs in the 9-38m range as well as several sunken vessels, most notably the SS Stavronikita, a 365ft Greek freighter deliberately sunk in 1978, widely regarded as one of the Caribbean's premier wreck dives. No sourced centre coordinate for the region as a whole was found, so none is set here.
