Barge

The Barge is a former naval landing craft and one of the wrecks on the Carlisle Bay shipwreck trail. The wreck itself is plain, yet sponges in many colours have settled all over its boxy structure. Porcupinefish are typical residents, and schools of snapper and bigeye soldierfish hide within the hull. It lies so shallow that snorkellers can enjoy it too, and like the other Carlisle Bay wrecks it is dived from a boat or from the beach.
