MV Trident

Also known as: Trident · M/V Trident · Trident Wreck

The Trident served as the flagship of the Barbados Coast Guard before it was deliberately sunk as an artificial reef in Carlisle Bay. Its best-known feature is the gun on the bow, a classic photo subject. The wreck has swim-throughs and is easy to penetrate for trained wreck divers. Corals and sponges now cover its hull, and lobsters, stingrays, large tarpon, snappers and barracuda are seen around it. After the wreck, divers often continue into the bay to visit the other wrecks.
