Blakely Harbor Fingers

Also known as: Blakely Harbor · Blakely Harbor Reef

Blakely Harbor is sheltered from current and weather and lies close to boat launches; because it can only be reached by boat, PNW Diving says it sees few divers and is rich in fish and invertebrates. Three orange mooring buoys mark separate dives: a short life-covered wall at the northern buoy, a rocky finger with ledges that tops out only about 8 ft below the surface at the middle buoy, and large boulders beyond 70 ft at the southern buoy. Sea Otter's review notes cracks, fissures, walls up to 20 ft high and boulder piles, with dense growth in the upper 30 ft. Emerald Diving highlights colonies of plumose anemones and healthy rockfish and greenling, and calls it a possible off-slack dive. A long surface swim from Rockaway Beach or a kayak can also reach the area.
