Mangrove (Menjangan)
This site lies along the south-eastern coastline of Menjangan Island, where rocky beaches give way to mangroves and white sand. Divers stay a little offshore and follow a reef that alternates between sloping sections and a vertical wall, depending on where the dive starts and how the current runs. Visibility can be lower than elsewhere around the island because of the mangroves, but the nutrient flow brings plenty of life. Triggerfish nest here in season, and reef sharks, moray eels, octopus, batfish and snappers are typical sightings. With a light current the dive can drift toward Blue Corner.
