Scoglio di Spinazzola

Also known as: La Spinazzola · Lo scoglio Spinazzola

The dive starts on the rocky plateau of about 10 m between Spinazzola and Basiluzzo, where a rubble slope soon turns into a wall. The western face is the deepest and falls vertically to sand at about 45 m, its light rock contrasting with the blue. Astroides, Leptopsammia, sponges, gorgonians and starfish add colour, and moray eels, octopus and scorpionfish sit in the cracks. Large boulders at the foot shelter groupers, and barracuda schools can be seen overhead. Damselfish and ornate wrasse accompany the whole dive.
