Rosewood

The Rosewood was scuttled in Skerry Sound in September 1914 and heavily salvaged after the war. Very broken, the wreck rests on a stony, sandy bottom, but the bow stands about five metres proud with the anchor winch, chain, capstan and chain locker. Two large Admiralty-pattern anchors at the bow may have been laid to hold her in place. The site is best reached by boat.
