Lycia

Also known as: MV Lycia

The Lycia was a diesel motor ship run ashore on Lamb Holm and scuttled in February 1941. After the war she was largely salvaged, but her massive engine block remains in about three metres of water and breaks the surface at most states of the tide. Copper pipe, flanges and steel plate lie around it, mixed with older iron fragments and a boiler that probably belonged to an earlier blockship. Divers start the Barrier 2 shore dive here and follow the wreckage east.
