Secca di Mangiabarche
Also known as: Mangiabarche
The offshore shoal is large enough for about eight different routes, rich in crevices with groupers and lobsters. On its south side a ragged edge with an arch is known as the den of the seabream, full of big two-banded seabream, conger eels and large yellow gorgonians. The west side drops vertically to fine sediment at about 38 m, where tall fan worms and candelabra sponges grow. A large Roman lead anchor lies near the usual mooring line.
