Banco Pomata
The summit is visible from the surface on calm days and is wrapped in clouds of damselfish, two-banded seabream and rainbow wrasse. The south wall falls quickly and ends in a large rock slide on the sand, where brown meagre, forkbeards and spiny lobsters live. Clear water makes depth easy to misjudge, so dive computers must be watched. Sponges, nudibranchs, tunicates and bryozoans crowd the walls, and pink anthias gather near them. A current is almost always present and sometimes too strong to dive.
