Bue Marino Cave
Also known as: Grotta del Bue Marino · Sea Ox Cave
The cave runs underwater for several kilometres and is still partly unexplored. Divers who visit the first 100 to 150 m pass a low siphon into large halls whose muddy floor is set with stalactites and stalagmites. Ancient colonies of fossil oysters cover the walls and shelter transparent shrimps. Argonauta describes three main passages with chambers and tunnels. The silt and the cave environment make it a dive for trained cave divers only.
