Mortoriotto
Also known as: Scoglio di Mortoriotto
The outer islet can be circled completely when the current is not too strong. Its slopes step down to a detrital bottom at about 40 m, where coralligenous formations with gorgonians and a few colonies of false black coral (Savalia savaglia) grow at unusually shallow depth for this species. Schools of white seabream swim among red gorgonians at 30 to 35 m, and dusky groupers, lobsters and moray eels hide in the cracks. The channel between the two rocks at the end of the dive offers damselfish, salema and sometimes barracuda and amberjack. North of the islet two cars rest on the sand at about 40 m.
