Rutaki Passage
Steep walls start just below the surface and meet a white sand bottom at about 18 m. The passage can be dived as a drift from inside the reef or by swimming in from the outside to the bowl. Visibility is usually only 10 to 15 m, which gives the canyons an eerie feel. Big schools of fish often gather at the entrance, Pacific Divers mentions schools of snapper in the canyons, morays live in the walls, and turtles, whitetip reef sharks and eagle rays are seen often.
