Lobster Shop Wall
Lobster Shop Wall is reached by a surface swim north-east over eelgrass shallows from the Ruston Way waterfront parks. The steep clay face starts deep, at around 70 to 90 ft, and continues past recreational depths, so it is easy to go too deep quickly. Nudibranchs, shrimp and giant Pacific octopus are common, and gunnels, rockfish, flatfish and wolf eels are regularly reported. PNW Diving rates it an advanced dive and notes that fatalities have occurred here, so conservative depth planning is essential. The wall has no lobsters; the name comes from the restaurant on shore.
