Day Island Wall
Also known as: DIW
Day Island Wall runs roughly parallel to shore and becomes deeper and farther from the beach toward the south, where the sheer section bottoms out around 110 ft. To the north, shallower ledges and cutbacks between about 40 and 55 ft hold smaller critters as well as resident wolf eels and octopus. Swift Narrows currents have carved the dens that make the site so productive, and PNW Diving reports up to 14 wolf eels and 12 octopus on a single dive. Shore dives must be timed precisely to slack on small exchanges; many divers use a live boat to make the timing less critical. Street parking near the small public access is very limited and residents are sensitive to noise.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
