Peleliu Cut
Peleliu Cut continues the drift from Peleliu Wall towards the southern tip of the island, along what dive centres describe as the deepest reef structure in Palau. The wall is covered in soft corals, gorgonians, sea whips and anemones and hides many crevices and small caves. When the current allows, divers hook in on top of the plateau at around 14 m and watch grey reef sharks, whitetip sharks, barracuda and jacks. Bull sharks, tiger sharks, hammerheads, whale sharks and whales are reported as rare visitors. The plateau gets deeper towards Peleliu Corner, so depth needs watching, and a surface marker buoy is required.
