Peleliu Wall
Peleliu Wall drops from a reef-top plateau at roughly 7 to 10 m down a sheer limestone face that continues out towards the open ocean. Canyons and crevices break up the wall, and its face carries big sea fans, strands of cable coral, black corals and yellow soft corals, which makes it popular with underwater photographers. On the plateau live pyramid butterflyfish, square and purple anthias, moorish idols and bumphead parrotfish, while grey reef and whitetip sharks, barracuda and jacks patrol the edge. Dive centres name sailfish, marlin, bull sharks and orcas as rare visitors. Most dives drift along the wall with it on the left towards Peleliu Cut and Peleliu Corner, and the direction depends on the tide.
