Palau
The southernmost major island and state of Palau, known among divers for a series of dramatic wall and current sites distinct from the Rock Islands to its north.
Peleliu lies south of the Rock Islands Southern Lagoon and is best known among divers for named sites such as Peleliu Wall, Peleliu Corner, Peleliu Express, and Peleliu Cut, which feature steep drop-offs, strong currents, and encounters with pelagic species including sharks. The island is also historically significant as the site of the WWII Battle of Peleliu, with wartime shipwrecks reported visible in the waters off its coast.
