Peleliu Corner

Peleliu Corner sits at the very southern tip of Peleliu, where the currents of the Philippine Sea and the Pacific meet and the plateau gets deeper towards the south. Dives usually arrive here from Peleliu Express or Peleliu Cut, and a large rock at about 14 m marks where Peleliu Express ends and the Corner begins. On the plateau divers hook in to watch schools of giant trevally, barracuda, big groupers, whitetip sharks and Napoleon wrasse. Sperm whales, whale sharks, bull and tiger sharks and orcas are named among the rare visitors. Operators stress that down currents can be dangerous here and only go to the Corner in suitable conditions.
