Giannis D
Also known as: Ghiannis D
The ship broke apart, and today bow and stern are intact while the middle section has collapsed. The stern lies on its port side at a steep angle, which plays tricks on a diver's sense of balance when swimming through stairways and corridors. The engine room at about 13 m is easy to enter and filled with glassfish, and the upright mast makes a convenient safety stop. Soft corals and sponges now cover the hull, attracting lionfish, moray eels, groupers and barracuda. Its sheltered position means it can be dived in more weather than the other Abu Nuhas wrecks.
