Erg Abu Galawa
The ergs rise from the sandy seabed and are covered in soft and hard corals that attract angelfish, butterflyfish and schools of fusiliers. Egypt Dive notes the huge table corals and says the site is only accessible in windless weather. Moray eels, scorpionfish and nudibranchs hide among the coral, and stingrays and garden eels live on the sand. It can be dived as a relaxed dive or a drift.
