El Mina Wreck

Also known as: El Mina

The wreck, about 60 to 70 m long, rests on a rocky seabed sloping from roughly 25 m at the bow to 32 m at the stern. Winches and anti-aircraft guns still bristle on the aft deck, while the forward guns have been sheared off. The blast hole is the only area guides recommend for entering, and it shelters large schools of glassfish hunted by jacks. Live ammunition still lies on and around the wreck, so nothing may be touched. Visibility is often poor, and current can run strongly from the north, though the hull gives shelter.
