Maalhos Thila

Also known as: Blue Caves · Malhos Tila

The south side of the thila is lined from top to bottom with small and large overhangs and caves, famous for their blue soft corals. Bright yellow blue-striped snappers swarm in front of the blue walls, which gives a striking contrast. Big coral blocks stand at around 25 metres at the south-eastern end. Whitetip and grey reef sharks, Napoleon wrasse, sweetlips and mackerel are seen, and the best part of the dive is fairly deep. Strong currents mean a surface marker buoy is needed.
