Strombolicchio
Also known as: Lo Strombolicchio
Every side of Strombolicchio can be dived, though most descents start on the side facing Stromboli where a short shallow area allows anchoring. On the south-east side a wall full of life falls vertically to about 50 m, while the south-west side is broken into cracks and crevices. Orange Astroides cover the first metres, replaced deeper by red gorgonians and golden branches of Gerardia savaglia. Groupers, lobsters, dentex, barracuda, white seabream and passing pelagic fish are frequent. The water is usually exceptionally clear.
