Secca di Scirocco
The pinnacle rises from a bottom just under 60 m south-west of Strombolicchio to a top at about 20 m. The current that usually comes from the north feeds red gorgonians that cover its elliptical flanks completely, and a cloud of anthias surrounds the rock. At the base, huge boulders form canyons where groupers, brown meagre, forkbeard, conger eels, moray eels, octopus, lobsters and pentagon starfish live. Amberjacks, tuna and other large pelagic fish may pass. The dive is only for experienced divers and only in very calm seas.
