Fumarole di Bottaro
In the channel between the islets of Lisca Bianca and Bottaro, and around both islets, volcanic gas escapes from the seabed and rises to the surface like sparkling water. The dive usually circles Bottaro over wide Posidonia meadows and their fauna and ends in the zone of the fumaroles. EoloSub advises limiting the time spent among the bubbles because the water there is very acidic. Eolie.me.it notes that hundreds of bubble columns rise in the area between Dattilo, Bottaro and Lisca Bianca, where the crater of the last volcanic activity lies.
