Ko Lanta is an island district in Krabi Province whose west coast serves as the main gateway for boat trips to well-known Andaman Sea dive sites such as Hin Daeng, Hin Muang, Koh Haa and Koh Rok.
Located south of Krabi and Phuket in the Andaman Sea, Ko Lanta district consists of several island groups, including Mu Ko Lanta, Mu Ko Klang, Mu Ko Rok and Mu Ko Ngai, with Ko Lanta Yai and Ko Lanta Noi as the two largest islands. Part of the area is protected within Mu Ko Lanta National Park. The district's west coast is used as the launch point for boat trips to nearby offshore dive sites.
