Koh Haa 3
The eastern, lagoon-facing side of Koh Haa 3 holds the small beach and shallow reef that give the lagoon its turquoise colour, and it is used for training and as a calm place to end dives. The seaward western side, often called the back of number 3, has a shallow central section and slopes away to deeper sand and rubble. Heading north from there, divers reach a large whip coral slope and big coral formations where trevally hunt fusiliers and snapper, while the southern route passes batfish, harlequin shrimp and malabar groupers. Great barracuda, clownfish in their anemones and blacktip reef sharks are regular sightings, and the west side is one of the spots where dive centres look for whale sharks in season.
