Koh Haa Yai
Also known as: Koh Haa 5 · Ko Ha Yai · Ko Haa No5 · The Cathedral
Three caves open on the south-west flank of Koh Haa Yai; the two larger ones form The Cathedral, joined by a wide window at about 8 m, with entrances around 10 to 14 m. Inside, light from below lights up the chamber, and divers can rise into an air pocket beneath limestone stalactites before leaving through one of the swim-throughs. Outside, a plateau at about 16 m slopes to beyond 30 m and is covered in staghorn, lettuce and soft corals, while a steep slope runs east towards a rocky beach lined with table corals and grouper. The island is also known for a yellow tigertail seahorse, ghost pipefish and harlequin shrimp, and whale sharks are seen around it in season. Dive shops point out that the smallest cave needs a torch and good experience.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
