Koh Haa Lagoon

Also known as: The Lagoon

The lagoon sits between three of the Koh Haa islands and is open to the sea in three directions, so dives often continue onto the outer slopes of islands 2 and 4. Inside, a sandy plateau dotted with coral bommies starts at a tiny beach and slopes slowly down, which makes it a favourite for first dives, courses and buoyancy practice. Hawksbill turtles, blue-spotted rays, moray eels and schools of bigeye barracuda are regular sights, and baby blacktip reef sharks patrol the shallows. Macro photographers look for seahorses, ghost pipefish, frogfish, seamoths and garden eels on the sand around the edges. It is also one of the most popular snorkelling spots of the marine park.
