Divers can choose deep swim-throughs, follow high walls or stay on the reef top with its healthy coral and sponges. The current is usually gentler between the formations. Turtles are very tolerant of divers here, and large groupers, barracuda, angelfish, hogfish and filefish are common. Eagle rays pass in winter, and small reef sharks are reported in summer. The name comes from the Colombia ranch and lagoon on the shore and is often misspelled Columbia.
